Mark Oldfield
Mark was born in Sheffield and graduated with a music degree (BA Hons) in Colchester before studying in London at The Guildhall School of Music (AGSM) and The Royal College of Music (post dip).

Mark has enjoyed an international career since his debut with Scottish Opera, with roles for the Royal Opera at Covent Garden, La Monnaie in Brussels, Opera Northern Ireland, New Israeli Opera, and Antwerp Opera in a repertoire ranging from Mozart, Rossini and Puccini, to Benjamin Britten.
Mark has sung in opera galas in India, USA, Europe and the Middle and Far East, and worked with leading directors including Simon Callow, Francesca Zambello and Graham Vick. His concerts include solo performances with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra at the Barbican, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and Purcell Room, Cadogan Hall and
St John Smiths' Square in London, at Snape Maltings in Suffolk, and in many cathedrals throughout Britain with regional Choral Societies.
Mark has performed on Classic FM, for The British Council abroad, and for royalty at the St James' and Kensington Palaces. His performing career can be viewed at: www.markoldfield.net
Mark now divides his time between performing in concerts and teaching. He has a thriving teaching studio in London, and is Head of Vocal Studies at Middlesex University, a vocal teacher for both London Oriana Choir and TASIS, an American International school in Surrey. Mark is currently a workshop leader for Streetwise Opera in London and a regular member of Magdala's Opera Start Workshop team, as well as playing an active role as a Trustee for Magdala.
